Dear Friend,

You've figured out a major truth; you are not good enough to have a relationship with God, but then neither am I. No one is. That's why Jesus died on the cross, because everyone was cut off from a holy God. You see, there was no hope unless someone paid the penality of our sin. That's where our brother Jesus, God's holy son, stepped in. Jesus paid it all with His death on the cross.

But it didn't end there. Being sinless, He was able to defeat the power of both sin and death through his resurrection from the dead.

So, yes, you are not good enough. So, so what? You can still be forgiven, not through your power, but the power of Jesus' sacrifice for you. Are you just going to sit there and ignore that?
