prophecy…
” Joel 2: 28

How do you know if you are one of the “daughters” God has called to minister or to “prophecy”? Your callings will correspond directly to your gifts and commissioning from God.

1. Do you have a gift for leading praise and worship? Then you are called to be a Miriam. See Exodus 15.

2. Do you have a gift for inspiring others? Then you are called to be a Deborah. See Judges 4.

3. Do you have a gift for giving direction? Then you are called to be a Huldah. See 2 Kings 22:

4. Do you have a gift for helping others see their mistakes? Then you are called to be an Esther. See Esther 4.

5. Do you have a gift of wisdom and instruction? Then you are called to be a Virtuous Woman. See Proverbs 31:26.

6. If you have a story that inspires belief in Jesus, then you are called to be a “Woman at the Well.” See John 4:39-42.

7. If you have an urgent desire to tell others the Good News that Christ is risen, then you have been commissioned like the woman at the tomb. (Matthew 28:10, John 20: 17.

There are differences in the call to speak. Some are called to be a professional speaker: some a lay speaker or a non-pro. More info on this aspect in an upcoming issue!

Quick Tip

Does your women’s ministry need money for outreach? It may be June, but now is the time to begin your plans for any Christmas fundraising events.

Ideally, fundraisers should be planned and in motion six months before the actual activity. The BEST time for Christmas fundraisers is the week after Thanksgiving, so get your committee together for coffee and brainstorming this week.

For more ideas on raising money for women’s ministry, see The Money Mission: How to Find Money For Your Women’s Ministry by Pamela Christian.

PS
Watch for the One Minute Tip audio postcard tip coming next week. Also watch for the next issue of Right to the Heart of Women. We will be discussing a sensitive but very important emerging issue for women’s
